SMI brings together 24 of India's leading mining and metals companies to address the core sustainable development challenges faced by the industry. All company members have committed to implementing the FIMI’s Code of Conduct. We publish an annual assessment of our members' performance against these commitments, starting with 2012-13. The current year results are given in Code Of Conduct tab. To become an SMI member, a company must follow the Code of Conduct. The process involves prospective members providing information about their businesses and undertaking a gap analysis against the SMI membership requirements. Companies that are interested in joining SMI should contact the Head Office.
